Medium Voltage Switchgear- EAK61

Medium Voltage Switchgear – EAK61  is made of metal and is a complete indoor switchgear for the electrified railway power distribution system. It is suitable for the AC single-phase, single-pole 27.5kV, 50Hz electrified railway system. The switchgear is commonly used in railway traction substations, outdoor substations, and substations in electrified railway power supply systems for receiving and distributing electrical energy, as well as for controlling and protecting the overhead lines.

Structure of the Medium Voltage Switchgear – EAK61

• The medium voltage switchgear is a removable, steel-enclosed cabinet with a metal outer shell. The structure consists of the main body of the cabinet and a detachable component (commonly referred to as the trolley). The switchgear is divided into compartments for the main bus, trolley, bus socket, and relay, separated by thin steel plates that are grounded
• Each small compartment is equipped with an independent vent channel leading to the top of the cabinet. When the internal pressure increases unexpectedly, the lid at the top of the cabinet will automatically open, allowing the pressurized air to be released in a controlled direction, ensuring the safety of the operator and the equipment inside
• The static contact box of the main circuit is installed on the partition wall between the trolley compartment, the main bus compartment, and the bus socket compartment. This ensures the isolation of each functional compartment. When the trolley is not inside the cabinet, the static contacts of the main circuit are covered by a movable curtain made of thin steel plates, grounded for safety, to protect maintenance personnel in the trolley compartment. When the trolley is inserted, the movable curtain automatically opens to smoothly connect the dynamic and static contacts
• The main bus compartments of each switchgear are connected through insulating tubes. Once the main busbars are installed, the main bus compartments of each switchgear are separated
• The relay compartment is equipped with a relay mounting plate, allowing for the installation of various types of relays. Different measuring devices, operating switches, signal equipment, or embedded relays, as well as other comprehensive protective devices, can be installed on the relay compartment door. A secondary connection block can be installed in the small compartment, and the connection block is mounted and fixed on the installation rack of the switchgear

• Temperature: -40°C to 40°C, with an average daily temperature not exceeding 35°C over a 24-hour period.
• Altitude: Not exceeding 3000 meters.
• Relative Humidity: The average daily relative humidity should not exceed 95%, and the average monthly relative humidity should not exceed 90%. Condensation may occasionally occur under such conditions.
• Seismic Intensity: Not exceeding 8 degrees.
• Environment: No fire or explosion risk, severe pollution, chemical corrosion, or strong vibrations
